I am not of Romany heritage, and don’t try to replicate or emulate fortune-telling practices from that lineage or any tradition outside my own cultural experience.* I gratefully honour and acknowledge all people from Romany and other historically and currently marginalised communities, who have practised tarot as a means of economic survival and/or in ways that are tied to ancestral identities and customs, and who in doing so have preserved and passed on this important tradition.

My Tarot practice as a white woman raised by the dominant culture in the UK is informed by my own personal connection with the cards, and my interpretations are rooted in my own lived experiences (with gratitude for the teachings of the many readers and writers on the topic).
